The Council of Disabled People is a charity organisation which encourages the inclusion of Disabled people in the general community and it also provides services directly to Disabled people.
The Black and Minority Ethnic Participation Project aims to work with individual Disabled people, BME organisations and white organisations to encourage the participation of BME Disabled people within the political, social, economic lives of our communities. Disability Discrimination Act 1995 aims to end the discrimination which many Disabled people face. The final rights of access came into force in October 2004. This Act applies to all businesses, everybody must take positive steps to make their services accessible to Disabled people. Click here to find out more.
