Town Centres
Kenilworth
Kenilworth
is a small and historic town in the heart of Warwickshire.
£50 million development plans for the town centre are
being discussed by WCC and WDC. Planners have pledged to move
the town forward to the 21st century by reopening the railway
station, creating a "cafe culture" and building
a new youth centre. Other proposals include a Public Service
Centre to incorporate a Police Station, District and County
Council Offices, Library, Arts Centre and Cafe. Talisman Square
is set to be transformed with hopes of a new supermarket to
form the heart of a new shopping development.

Community Plan for Warwick Districk
Warwick District 2020, the new Community Plan has now been
produced after 15 months of hard work. The Warwick Partnership,
the local strategic partnership for the area, has led the
process which has involved extensive consultation with the
voluntary and community sector, the wider public, private,
business and public sector organisations. The challenge is
now implementing the many actions that underpin the high level
strategic objectives aimed at creating a safer, healthier,
fairer and more prosperous Warwick District which can be sustained
for many years into the future.
Warwick District 2020 will be available on Warwick
District Council and Warwick
Partnership websites.
