Rural Forum for
Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire
The 2005/06
Annual Review of the Rural Forum for Coventry, Solihull
and Warwickshire has recently been published and is available
in PDF format (5.42 MB).
The Rural Forum is a partnership of 24 public, private and
voluntary rural bodies (partners listed on Rural
Forum website), including both Stratford District Council
and Warwick District Council, who contributed to its establishment
in 1998. The Forum’s objective is to provide a gateway
to practical advice for rural businesses and communities to
assist them in adapting to changing conditions. This is achieved
through:
- The development and organisation of practical activities
and events to help meet the needs of rural businesses.
- Practical help and support, as guided by farm and rural
business groups.
- Co-ordination and dissemination of responses to policy
and legislative changes on behalf of the sub-region.
- Production of an integrated rural strategy for the sub-region.
An evaluation
of the now-completed Stimulating Rural Enterprise Project
is available on the website.
The Warwickshire Rural Hub
is the 'delivery arm' of the Rural Forum, providing a series
of useful events for rural businesses.
